Cool jam. Liked the vocal samples on this one. Went hard. Solid one here.

Danke!
Be you until you've grown to value and accept the you, you have become through your journey in life; when you're comfortable and cool being that you, then find you some other person that digs you for you, (it's a two way streak though, so make sho you dig that person at that person's chill, natural, or dare I say, instinctual level . if that checks, rock on, if not, then it's gonna be awkward prolly).
Awkward. the Opposite of this beat, this right here, so much yes! Not often do I appreciate the sound of water, but you made that ambience jam hard here. Drums, so on point! I get a very Metroidee vibe from this. The flutter ringtone tone shit, was kinda shit, but I kinda liked it and thought it added to the overarching musicality of this.
But, since you gloated about playing GameCube with a greasy AF controller (in an unrelated incident and in no way connected to this song), out of principle, I had to dock a notch on the rating. 4.5 Stars.
I agree that I have to figure myself out first then bring someone into the fold. I'm also lonely as hell right now, so I think having someone to pal with will be a good thing. If things go south later, so be it.
The 'phone' is a little poorly produced, but it's not horrible. I forget the name of the synthezier plugin I used to create it.
When did I gloat about my GameCube controller being greasy? I do not recall doing so.
Intro lead up until about the 40sec mark felt awkward (the box and skippy beat didn't really work in cohesion imo), mayeb takes another listen to get used too;). But then the more verse friendly structure dropped and it fell nicely into place. I rather enjoyed the change up too, had a kinda icp beat feel to it (in a good way. the bass WAH is quite satisfying. I fairly diggin it.
Thanks Mao!
dope song. solid. If I hadn't lost my ipod, it would be on it.
Thanks bro!!
I really like the way you did "lights" , the subtle crackiness of this in general works well with beat, me thinks.
the subtle crackiness is actually a trademark of q sik
Oh my, that narrative stream and a flow to deliver it so diversely, really hits a stride and carries the established theme throughout this song. Lyrics on point, real and hearty. The beat; very vibey, with some nice instrumental accompaniment, the pianos are a very nice touch. Most of the vocal samples, I'm digging, the choral singing nice. The Lil Jon "Hey" and other hype, not so much; thought it clashed a bit with the mood of this. Vocal mixing- first 2/3 dope, very audible and meshed well with the beat. The rap bars at around 3minutes (and the outro rap bit) , the lap top mic set up became apparent. Which is kind of impressive, considering all the vocal range displayed before/after the ear bleeding parts; either you have an awesome laptop mic, or you got some impressive mixing skills or both.
Big props bro. Hope to hear more from you!
So awesome to hear from ya, Mick!
Thanks for the breakdown. I deff was less than satisfied with the way a lot of parts sounded, but yeah. The laptop mic is quite limiting. I hope to bring you more in the future!
Dope flows, sick beat, I might drops something on this...
Mickey,
Great to hear from you brother! It's been a few years. I appreciate the positive feedback. The track is WIP and needs substantial mixing and I still haven't spit my part. It's funny how life happens and priorities change. Lately I have been getting that hunger back for some production and word play, thus the recent postings.
Enough about me, how have you been? Repentence and Mysterium are fantistic tracks man.
Keep up the good work. If you ever come across any of my beats and would like to spit hit me up and I'd be happy to send out the individual track originals so you could play around with them.
Its what I do for fun.
