Nice touch Blest!

The delivery and flow of your style is sounding more and more comfortable and natural; I'd say, along with better recording equipment, more emphasis or almost exaggerated pronunciation could make the lyrics more clear. Props to BoJ on the beat, sickness at its finest! Keep at it HIA, this is shyea!!! what?

HeIsAlive responds:

Well thanks a bunch man.
Ive been trying to get the sound to be better, its a working progress.

sickNES

Nice touch on the assonance in these bars, the rhymes are spectacular! @1:00 the flow goes the wellest good, dopeness G!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Yee, son, I like that; "spectacular". Yeah I got into it around the one minute mark. I did mess up though, as this was all one take and I just went with my first try...

one word.

sick, "now thats something everyone can enjoy" : D

Great vibes on this!

The tone of voice and flow just fit perrrrfectly with the beat. Real nice feel to this, a feel good track for sure. For critique I'd say that the delivery/emphasis could use some more takes, at times it sounds a bit strained, but I definitely dig the natural sound this possesses, keep at it!

nunie7 responds:

You right about the delivery, we were feeling a little rushed to get the last couple songs recorded, edited, and released because I'm heading to the Air Force. Thanks for the input though. Glad you like it.

10 for Venture Bros Sample!

haahah myspace= shitbox .

Wow

Cynic-Clarity of voice and delivery. Internal rhyme scheme was good and flowed well. "Modeling with Nimbus" hahah!
-smoking opium pills? hmmm can you smoke a pill? Maybe "overdosing" would've been more appropiate.

Madflex- Nice work of research. Personal shots. "16 bars without no filler". Had the aggressive tone for a battle.
-the faster flows sounded a lil bit hesitated at a couple spots.

Both MCs brought real musicianship and lyricism to this match. The quality of these bars is outstanding, props to Cynic and MadFLeX. I like Cynic's metaphors/similes and rhymes. I like Madflex's flips, expanded vocabulary and overall delivery. I'd give this battle to MadFLex for v2. The flip on "flash artist" and the grey hound bus exit line got the K.O.

Great battle here.

Chopped and Screwed!

I'm not too keen on the art of sampling. I wish I possessed the skills of Ses (he spends hour on Youtube trying to learn the ways "hip hop").

I like the sound of this. The ADD synths really add a "sugar surge" energy to it/ the melody of the synths is cool. I thought the saws were a bit clumbsy; they didnt seem like they fit with the rest of the composition too well (my thought). The switch up was executed nicely, but I thought it was a bit too abrupt and the sudden change in mood was confusing.

Overall, I like the originality and uniqueness of this beat. Nice work Mike Stingray!

Blasphem-E responds:

Haha, unique is definitely a good word for it. Good points on all counts. Also, I chuckled at "Mike Stingray"

Clash of the titans!

Nimbus: Steady flow and great use of internal rhymes schemes. For the most part, his hits against Cynic were direct. I thought his hits were well connected and seemed to flow with each other. Liked the references.
-a few lines seemed a bit forced/ ex. "Cynic without a sequel" -> its round three, ya'll had sequel in round 2... The Justin and Brittney line is quite out-dated...
-The callback to Round 1 (Southern hertitage); was difficult to catch, at first I didnt even catch it. Kinda of a weak defensive maneuver, in round 1 you were hit with Mason Dixon/Birmingham. Come on man, you can't mimic Mao with weak single syllable rhymes like "south".
-The overdubs were too obvious and a bit distracting

Cynic:Energetic Flow with intregrated vocabulary and production efforts. His hits against Nimbus were direct and personal. The ending to verse 2 was hilarious/truthful, ahaha!
- a few lines/rhymes felt misplaced. A few segments in the 2nd verse felt as if they couldve flown a bit more seemlessly.
- the cracking effect on the second verse (I'm assuming it was done on purpose) worked well and added a godly like pressence to the sound, but I thought it was distracting and unneeded.
-I thought some of the hits werent connected too well with one another.
-"stupid/music"- really weak diss (if more rationale was provided it would've had more impact)

This is one on the greatest battle I've heard in the competition. Both Nimbus and Cynic are personal favourites of mine. Both brought a tremendous amount of talent to this competition, its a shame that one of them is getting outted after this match. I would like to see this match go into OT, but for the sake of the battle I would give this match to...

Nimbus. I thought his verses were well convoluted; the hits were connected and built upon each other. His flips on "up and coming" and "avatar" in verse 2 were done well. Nimbus's filler lines really hurt him in this match, lines like "hack it, blow a casket, grab hatchet..." though this technically sounds cool with the high frequency rhymes, it sounds like the rhymes are controlling what's being said, rather than the targetted opponent. Nimbus gets my "popular vote", but I think this match needs an OT, the match up is really too close to make a fair judgement.

Props to Nimbus, Cynic and Musty Elbow. This is some good music!

Its what I do for fun.
