Very reflective battle here. Both MCs brought their lyrical knives and then self inflicted their own wounds. The bouncing back verse structures flowed very nicely, very entertaining listens. Sorry, I gotta give this one a tie-> Rematch/OT. $10,000 donated to The Wachest Rapper Fund.

Nerfgun Timmy: flow hit the tempo decisively. Lyrical language was dope, the evolution line was great; lyrical content (target specific) was lacking. The delivery was cool, steady and swaggy. Pop. references were humorous. Clever rhymes.

Jakobe: the subtle cuts and ad lib mixing were fresh. Direct shots, with some generic lines. The flow was good but the delivery could use some oomph in his 1st verse, the 2nd picked it up though. Lyrics were precise but were a bit intermediate. The Senator ending was awesome.

Jakobe said more about Timmy but the Nerfgun lyrically dominated with sick flow . I give this one to NerfgunTimmy.

Gasmasq: Nice set ups and knock downs from first verse to 2nd; interesting take on a flash diss. Decent shots at quality. Clarity was good, delivery was entertaining and flow was steady. Dropping the second verse immediately after FB's 1st was a good move. The second verse wasn't too good; the flips were shallow and the shots weren't as seamless and combo as the first verse ("free, should be cheaper " was great though).

Fatbeats: Direct and precise shots, "last opponent you smashed was Shmorg" made me laugh irl. Really wish he would've spit his second in the gap afters Gas's verse. The first verse was a bit unenthusiastic at the beginning of it, but after that it was fire till the end. Some of the dubs were a bit too much. The ending was godly. The flow is quite ecstatic with nice energy, but it could use more control and practice.

I give Gasmasq points for flow, continuity between his verses and delivery, Fatbeats gets points for lyrics, rebuttals, presence and energy. I gotta give this one to Fatbeats; each of his verses were filled with flips and numerous shots. Gas's verses were full of great offence but shitty defence (eg. doesnt matter if Gas doesnt likes those faggots, he can still sound like em) Fatbeats mispronounced Gas's city without being called on the dumb dumb... Gasmasq sounded much more polished and defined, Fatbeats sounded gritty and hungry--- his direct lyrics give him the edge for me, Fatbeats to advance.

This reminds me of Donkey Kond Country. The bells add a nice touch in the second half. Solid beat right, hope to hear battles on it. Keep it up DJ KinderSurprise aka Obsideo

Obsideo responds:

I liked the bells as well. Thanks Mick-a-lick-a-dick.

Chainsaw: Man-gina. Some complex attacks. Interesting/hilarious dubs. I like the delivery/tone change he threw in. Audibility issues in the first verse (WAY TOO MANY dubs or something). Few too many Slap Happy shots.Fairly weak shots... he lyrically raped me in pre-round with some hard hitting/personal shots, I was very surprised by his lack of critical hits in Round 1. The rebuttals in the 2nd verse were uninspired and not original enough to cut it. Repeat disses from pre-round.

Flip Point: Clarity, wordplay and crisp flow. The delivery at the beginning of his 2nd verse was dope. Flip's naturalish recording (sounds like 1 take and air breaths) were oldskool noice. Could've had more direct flips. Some generic material: Dakota Fanning...

This battle surprised me; I thought Chainsaw would destroy with some aggressive verses but instead it seemed like he tried to go for a comedic approach. Flip Point kinda came out of nowhere with some good ole fashioned lyricism and more polished flow.

I'm giving this one to Flip Point.

Blest: Great lyricism and the flow was entertaining and dynamic. The shots seemed to be direct, I didnt think there was too much filler... The clarity in the second verse was a bit shotty. Too many call backs to his previous battle.

Bryon: Creative rebuttals and his fast style flow is getting much more defined; but at times there were some stumbles. "Indian" is not politically correct, so unless he was referring to people from India...

Im giving this one to Blest; I found his verses to be more interesting and complex where as Bryon (while also have some good material) had a lot of ducksick punches. Good battle.

Chill and cool. Poetic lyrics and smooth flow. As far as I can tell the mixing on this one is good. The subtle ad libs go nice, maybe a few of them could be emphasized more/differently? Dope track. Can't wait to hear part 2 on April 13th :D *calender marked*

BummerCityTown responds:

Thanks Mickey! That's what i love to hear. I'm just as pumped to show everyone.

My belief in Christianity has been uplifted by this holy creation. Jesus lives on Neptune!

PiGPEN responds:

What's the floatin in the water? Ol Neptuna's only daughter.

Gasmasq: Intrinsic shots with NG relevance. The Hammer dub was goofy. Flow was steady but for the 32 bars it could've used more enthusiasm a few lines were a bit iffy.

Rav: Great presence and energy. Relevant shots; the "lightning bolt" line was wanky. The jump from ER battle to current battle was a bit spurious and some shots could've been considered hypocritical, eg. "This is battle blah, blah, no dubs and adlibs blah blah" with a computer generated echo... Delivery issues.

Gasmasq's verse was better constructed and concise; the audio result was under-mixed and difficult to catch. Rav's verse, though "sloppy" was more audible and consistently understandable.

Im given this one to the "Hip Hop Philosopher from Spokane Washington" after repeated listens. After 1 listen, Rav would've won but since this is Newgrounds Audio Portal / Internet battle... I can loop and catch shit my slow brain might have missed.

Great Battle

Its what I do for fun.
